THE RIGHT HAND OF LAZARUS

Lazarus was arisen from the dead....


I want us to look at a very interesting text of scripture....
Isaiah 28:14-19, and then Isaiah 30:12-15

therefore hear the word of the Lord you scoffers who rule this people in Jerusalem.
You boast, "we have entered into a covenant with death,
with the grave we have made an agreement..
when an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our hiding place IS 28:14-15

HIV AIDS when it came to our lives we never looked to God , to seek his face and ask why this scourge has come in our midst...we developed lies....

It is a normal sickness, just like a common cold,
We do not need to repent due to it

yet, this is a disease that is largely associated with sexual immorality, whichever way you look at it.

But there is always the argument, what of the innocent child who caught it from his parents, or the one who had a blood transfusion with infected blood, or the faithful spouse?

but then, when there is a general catastrophy, does it not overwhelm the guilty and innocent alike? remember the sin of Achan, (Josh 7:1ff) 36 innocent people died!!

Then we relied on DOCTORS...they will come up with a cure, there are already ARV'S

The doctors have replaced the wisdom of God....30 years down the line and still no cure

for we have made a lie our refuge and a falsehood our hiding place.....

We have also put our trust in trust condoms, trusting that they will save us from the overwhelming scourge....

sexual sin is sin, and whether you use the condom or not, the wages of sin IS DEATH (Rom 6:23)

But we have made the lie our refuge and a falsehood our hiding place.


So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:

"see, I lay a stone in zion,
a tested stone,
a precious corner stone for a sure foundation;
the one who trusts will never be dismayed
I will make justice the measuring line
and righteousness the plumb line;
hail will sweep away your refuge the lie,
and water will overflow your hiding plac.
your covenant with death will be annulled:
your agreement with the grave will not stand.
when the overwhelming scourge sweeps by, you will be beaten down by it.
As often as it comes it will carry you away;
morning afeter morning , by day and by night,
It will sweep through Isaiah 28:16-19

that cornersone is the LORD JESUS CHRIST...
and he is also known as the way the TRUTH and the life...
He is the sure foundation

Now the bible says that Hail will sweep away your refuge ..the lie.

those that have relied on the secular lies, that they need to manage the disease, that they need to seek a cure and continue in sodom and gommorrah lifestyle, a severe warning awaits them...

that they will be swept away by that scourge, the HIV AIDS syndrome will attack them, and embarrass them until they admit to the TRUTH, and the TRUTH will come with justice and righteousness to judge!

And the covenant with and agreements made with death will be annulled by the TRUTH.

Therefore this is what the HOLY ONE of Israel says:

" Because you have rejected this message,
relied on oppresion
and depended on deciet,
this sin will become for you
like a high wall, cracked and bulging,
that collapses suddenly, in an instant.
It will break in pieces like pottery,
shattered so mercilessly
that among its pieces not a fragment will be found for taking coals from a hearth
or scooping water out of a cistern


In otherwords, the sin will be the undoing of the lie.....
the scourge, will be too much
causing you to collapse
for its advance is merciless

what then is the remedy?

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel says;

" in repentance and rest is your salvation
in quietness and trust is your strength

again God is turning us TO REPENTANCE. It is almost as though HE is WAITING for mankind to admit...that his way cannot work, that he has sinned, and he NEEDS GOD.

SO THE CHOICE IS OURS,....TO CONTINUE WITHOUT A CURE FOR ANOTHER 30YEARS
OR TO SEEK REPENTANCE FOR OUR SEXUAL IMMORALITY, PRIDE AND ARROGANCE AND TO ASK GOD TO HEAL US FROM THIS SCOURGE

THIS IS THE ONLY REMEDY
